We’re proud to recognize Dixie Chili as Newport’s first Business of the Month this May! A Monmouth Street landmark since 1929, Dixie Chili has been serving up Cincinnati-style chili and warm hospitality for nearly a century.
We sat down with owner Spiros Sarakatsannis, whose family has run Dixie since day one, to hear what sets the restaurant apart. For Spiros, it’s about more than food—it’s about tradition, consistency, and connection. “We want people to feel at home here,” he told us. “We’re proud to be part of so many families’ routines and memories.”
